Award-winning trial attorney Charla Aldous joined the Eastern District of Texas Bench Bar for its annual conference as a legal expert on the panel, "What Do Lawyers Get Right and Wrong at Trial: Views from the Most Experienced Gunslingers in the District."

The session featured Ms. Aldous, Chief Judge Rodney Gilstrap of the Eastern District’s Marshall division, Judge Karen Gren Scholer of the Northern District of Texas and acclaimed trial lawyer Richard A. “Dick” Sayles of the Sayles Law Firm.

The Eastern District’s three-day event is widely regarded as one of the nation’s top annual bench bar conferences, drawing judges, lawyers, speakers, guests and other participants from across the country to discuss a broad range of cutting-edge legal topics and courtroom strategy.

Ms. Aldous has garnered a national reputation for courtroom expertise. She recently was selected as one of the top three lawyers in Texas in the annual Super Lawyers survey. The Dallas Bar Association also acknowledged Ms. Aldous in its "Living Legends" series, which honors Dallas lawyers who have vaulted to the forefront of the profession.

As a lauded personal injury attorney, Ms. Aldous' skills regularly result in favorable outcomes on behalf of her clients. She secured a $21 million verdict in a botched anesthesia case that was cited as the largest medical malpractice verdict in Texas for 2022.
