We're proud to share some exciting news: both Charla Aldous and Eleanor Aldous have been recognized in The National Law Journal's 2026 Elite Trial Lawyers Awards. This year's honors are particularly meaningful because they recognize both an extraordinary career dedicated to helping injured people seek justice and the next generation of trial lawyers continuing that mission.
Charla Aldous Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
Charla Aldous received the publication's Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes members of the plaintiffs bar whose careers and service have made an indelible mark on their communities, their clients, and the law. Over the course of more than three decades, Charla has handled some of the most challenging and impactful cases in Texas, representing clients in matters involving medical malpractice, sexual assault, birth injuries, and other catastrophic injuries. She has tried more than 200 cases and has spent her career fighting for individuals and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
“Having the opportunity to collaborate with my daughter Eleanor and to stand together in fighting for justice is a dream come true,” said Charla Aldous. “Receiving these awards for our trial work in the same year is icing on the cake.”
Eleanor Aldous Named a Rising Star of the Plaintiffs Bar
At the same time, Eleanor Aldous was recognized as one of the National Law Journal's Rising Stars of the Plaintiffs Bar, an honor reserved for emerging attorneys already making an impact through their litigation work, community service, and leadership. Since joining the firm in 2021, Eleanor has focused her practice on catastrophic personal injury cases involving medical negligence, products liability, and sexual abuse. Her recognition reflects both the results she has achieved for clients and the dedication she brings to every case.
“My mother built a career standing up to powerful institutions and advocating for people during the hardest moments of their lives,” said Eleanor Aldous. “To now practice alongside her and continue that work is deeply personal and incredibly rewarding.”
A Shared Commitment to Justice
The awards also highlight something that makes our firm unique: the opportunity for two generations of trial lawyers to work side by side on behalf of clients. While the honors recognize individual accomplishments, they also reflect a shared commitment to advocacy, accountability, and pursuing justice for those who need it most.
We're honored to see Charla and Eleanor recognized among the nation's leading plaintiff attorneys and grateful to the clients who trust us to help tell their stories and fight for meaningful results.
