The electrician fell 30 feet to his death when the scissor lift he was working on was struck by a boom lift operating nearby. Jurors awarded $71.95 million to the victim’s widow and four children, finding subcontractor Walker Engineering 65 percent liable for the incident and its subsidiary 35 percent liable, making Walker Engineering responsible for the full award under Texas law.
