Doe Family Awarded $700,000 in Punitive Damages by Dallas Jury

Aldous Law

The “Doe” family in the case against the Episcopal School of Dallas was awarded $700,000 in punitive damages alone. This case involved the sexual abuse of a minor—referred to in court proceedings as Jane Doe II—who was wrongfully expelled from her Dallas-area private high school after her encounters with the abusive teacher, Nathan Campbell, were discovered by school administrators. Charla Aldous, Dallas trial lawyer at Aldous Law, fought for the Doe family, arguing that the expulsion was wrongful. The jury has ruled in favor of the plaintiffs. These new punitive damages bring the total amount of damages awarded to the family at over $9 million.
