Giovanni Homes v. Oncor Electric Delivery
Companies Can Be Plaintiffs Too
That’s what happened to Giovanni Homes, which purchased property in Fort Worth, Texas, and planned to develop it for both residential and commercial use.
There was just one problem with the plan though. An underground power line existed on the property and Giovanni needed Oncor to move the line so that the building project could proceed. Oncor agreed to relocate the line but then delayed doing so. For nearly two years.
Aldous \ Walker Provides Representation
The delay cost Giovanni plenty of money. But more than that, it harmed the company’s reputation with the banks that would finance the project.
Charla and the team brought suit on Giovanni’s behalf and prevailed. Texas Lawyer later highlighted the case as one of its top verdicts of 2010.
