Dallas Attorney Charla Aldous Inducted Into Prestigious Legal Organization

DALLAS - Attorney Charla G.Aldous of the Aldous Law Firm in Dallas has been inducted into the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers.

The invitation to become a lifetime IATL fellow is one of the highest honors in the legal community. Membership in the Academy is limited to 500 active fellows from the United States and 100 fellows from the rest of the world. Inductees must undergo a rigorous evaluation process that encompasses legal skills, character, integrity and trial record. Ms. Aldous was one of only 24 attorneys worldwide inducted during the IATL's annual meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz., in April 2010.

"It's a great honor to join such an elite group of attorneys," says Ms. Aldous. "This organization truly represents the highest standards of the legal profession."

Founded in 1954, the IATL operates with a mission to promote reforms in the law, facilitate the administration of justice, promote the rule of law internationally, elevate the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession, and cherish the spirit of brotherhood among the members.

Last year, Ms. Aldous was named as the "Personal Injury Litigator of the Year" in Dallas by The Best Lawyers in America, the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. She also recently earned selection by her peers as one of the "Best Lawyers in Dallas" in the May issue of D Magazine.

Ms. Aldous earned the 2008 "Trial Lawyer of the Year" award from the Texas Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. In 2007, Texas Lawyer newspaper featured her as one of the top five personal injury attorneys in Texas, and The National Law Journal profiled her in 2005 as one of 10 "Winning" lawyers in the nation.
